We asked listeners to tell us what other DC character they'd like to see developer Rocksteady make a game about. We got some cool pitches, but our favorite was sent in by Josh from West Virginia, better known as Torchbearer on the Secret Identity forums. He had a cool Wonder Woman idea, and for that he will be receiving a copy of Batman: Arkham City for the XBox 360, signed by the development team at Rocksteady. Here's the winning pitch that Josh sent in:
Basically my concept is Arkham Asylum/City meets Tomb Raider with Wonder Woman as the main character. Throughout the course of the game Diana would be forced to make her way through Themyscira, Delphi (to get information from the Oracle), Hades, the Cretian labrynth, and other locales straight from Greek mythology as well as our own modern world.
The main concept would have Circe, Genocide and perhaps Ares be the big villains but other DC characters like Giganta and Cheetah, along with Medusa and some other mythological creatures like centaurs and minotaurs would make appearances as well. Along the way she could be gathering armor and weapons to aid her in her quest.
Ideally the plot of the game would be Circe, who comes to Diana in disguise as a harbinger of doom, convinces her and enlists her help to acquire items and artifacts of power under the guise of trying to prevent a coming catastrophe but ultimately resulting in her unwittingly helping Circe gather items used to create the villain Genocide.
Congrats to Josh, and thanks to everyone who entered! We'd also like to thank Sandbox Strategies and Blockbuster for making this contest possible. Don't forget, if you didn't win, you can still buy Batman: Arkham City at your local Blockbuster before November 22nd and get a free month of game rentals.
