Last week (as Brian and Matman recorded their vacation shows) 'Walking Dead # 100 had just hit the stands and as you'll hear, Matman spoke about the fact that advanced sales had topped over 300,000 copies.

Here we are a week later and not only has the book sold out, but it broke many a record! The issue sold out of its 383,612 copies on the day it was released. This made 'The Walking Dead' #100 the best selling comic (initial orders) since 1997's 'The Darkness' #11.

'The Walking Dead' #100 written by Robert Kirkman and drawn by Charlie Adlard also featured 13 variant was the talk of San Diego Comic Con and with good reason. "This is a remarkable achievement," said Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson. "It's extremely uncommon, if not flat-out rare, for a comic book to see a sustained increase in sales following its first issue, but The Walking Dead steadily climbed up and up since its launch in 2003, and we couldn't be more proud of Robert, Charlie and the whole Walking Dead team."

Yeah but it was an 8 issue variant cover. So if we divide that number by 8 us that how many folks actually bought it and not all 8 covers.
