For the past few years, Dynamite Entertainment has not only grown in the amount of books they publish, but the quality and especially the diversity of the books. Plus, you get your choices of covers from such artists as Alex Ross, Michael Turner, J.Scott Campbell and pictured to the right our pal Chris Eliopoulos.
Here is a quick look at some of the ones i read and loved over the past week!
Masks # 2 - What happens when you bring together the best pulp characters and a police state that is oppressing those who can't protect themselves? Pure awesomeness is what you get!!! 4 out of 5
Vamperella Strikes # 1 - No one seemed to get Vampirella right. She is an incredibly iconic character known more for her look than anything else. In this series writer Tom Sneigoski and artist Johnny Dejardins have made the best part of the book inside the covers... althought the covers are gorgeous as well.
5 out of 5
Damsels # 3 - An imaginative story that has a lot of heart and soul thanks to writers Leah Moore and John Rippion. Fairy tales locked in a struggle against evil beautifully drawn by Aneke. Too many positives not to read this book! 4 out of 5
The Bionic Man # 16 - This book has really begun to grow some legs... bionic ones, and turn into a must read each month! Bionic Bigfoots, bionic dogs and Steve Austin bringing the fight to Mother Russia! 5 out of 5
Battlefields # 2 - The 'Tankies' crew return to the battlefields... this time in the Korean War. Garth Ennis and Carlos Ezquerra (co creator of Judge Dredd) have taken some of the crew out of the tank and into the trenches and trapped behind enemy lines. 5 out of 5
