Last month I wrote a piece about some of the new books I was picking up, and some that I was culling from my pull list. As I put my order in with the local comic shop for this week’s books, I thought I’d share what’s new and what getting dropped for this week.

Adds
Replica #1--The first book from the nw Mike Marts-led Aftershock Comics comes from writer Paul Jenkins and artist Andy Clarke. From what I can gather from the solicit, a space cop who is overwhelmed with his job decides to have himself clones, and things don’t go as planned. Being a lifelong Spidey fan I’m obviously a huge fan of clone stories (not joking), so I’m all over this one.
Spidey #1--Robbie Thompson (writer of Silk) brings Peter parker back to his high school days in this new series. I’m not only excited for myself, but I can’t wait for my son and daughter to read this series as well.

Daredevil #1--I adored the Mark Waid and Chris Samnee run on Daredevil. Adored. And I love pretty much everything Charles Soule writes. But--I think I’m ready for a break from the character. And a limited budget means making choices, so Daredevil gets left on the shelf this time around.
