Listeners of the podcast and readers of my book "Pow - Bam - Sell' know how much I love the first two 'FUBAR' volumes and last year's Free Comic Book Day edition.
As a young comic book reader one of my favorite comics was 'Weird War Tales'. 'FUBAR' takes the best elements of that book, fuzes it with flesh chewing zombies and has a nice variety of creators making it real. Get ready for the third installment; 'American History Z'.
Where the first two volumes focused on World War Two, 'Z' looks at the all of American History. From Euro settlers wiping out the Natives (with some nice payback) to the current War On Terror, this 328 page book features 32 stories with the contributions of 42 amazing creators including Chuck Dixon, Stephen Lindsay and series mastermind (and awesome guy) Jeff McComsey.
'American History Z' is the perfect companion to the first two volumes and continues the incredible legacy of an amazing franchise.
If you're interested in getting a copy look no further than this month's PREVIEWS on page 232. And (if there can be any more excitement), this years Free Comic Book Day will feature a FUBAR comic... probably not for the kiddies.
