DC recently announced a project that has me really wanting 2017 to come quick. In celebrating the 100th birthday of the late Jack (King) Kirby, DC has announced the KAMANDI CHALLENGE, a 12 issue series that will star Kamandi, The Last Boy On Earth.
If you are not familiar with the series, Kamandi was one of the amazing Kirby creations he did for DC in the 1970's. Kamandi was the last boy on Earth who lived in a time when walking and talking animals ruled the planet.
A-Mazing stuff!!!
The series will be a year long event; 12 issues that will feature a different creative team each issue that will picking up the story where the last team left off.
And who are the creators? How about past Secret Identity guests Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Connor, Gail Simone, Bill Willingham, Greg Pak, Tom King and James Tynion!!! THAT is just seven!!!!
The first issue (a double size comic) will be released in January!
