Joe Kelly is one of the nicest guys in the world, not just in the comic industry! I’ve known Joe for quite a long time and through thick and thin he had and still remains the same!
This weekend Joe will be appearing at ComiCONN (www.comiCONN.com) and for those who have never met him and don’t know what to expect, expect a guy who is grateful to anyone who has supported him over the years!
Joe first cut his teeth as a writer in the Marvel 2099 Universe until some long runs at Marvel with Daredevil, Deadpool and a much celebrated run on X – Men! He then brought his talents to DC where he chronicled the adventures of Superman, JLA, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern! I credit Joe in writing the greatest Superman story ever, Action Comics # 775, ‘What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice And The American Way!’
In the independent comic world, Joe has created a volume of diverse and beautiful work including Four Eyes, Bad Dog and his most emotional piece, I Kill Giants! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to read something special.
He also returned to Marvel recently to work on Amazing Spider-Man featuring some arcs that my show partner Brian calls the best Spidey stories ever!!
Behind the scenes Joe and his partners at ‘Man Of Action Studios’ have created a couple of cartoons that have become cultural icons and if you don’t believe me just ask anyone if they have ever heard of Ben 10 or Generator Rex!
