Day one of New York Comic Con is in the books, and as expected, it was a blast. My day started before the show even opened, as I was lucky enough to interview writer Jonathan Larsen about one of my favorite comics of the past year, The Endling. Once the floodgates opened, I tried to get over to the Toy Tokyo booth for their exclusive Freddy and Jason figures. But with the line being over and hour and a half long, it wasn't to be.
So, most of my time yesterday was spent on the show floor, taking in all the sights, and over at the Monarch Comics booth. And the biggest thing that struck me was just how packed this Thursday was. From the second the doors opened until they closed at 7PM, the show floor was full. Events and creator signings were happening all over the place--below you can see Todd McFarlane hanging out with fans at the McFarlane Toys booth.
