Over the past couple of weeks, we've been hearing bits and pieces about the new series that Jimmy Palmiotti and Matt Brady will be launching with BOOM! Studios. Over on Comic Book Resources, the cast of the new series has been getting revealed all week, and they're expected to provide full details on the new series later today. You can see what's been revealed so far right here.
From what's been released so far, the series appears to revolve around the Hollywood scene, and features a cast of characters ranging from A-list celebs to agents to has-been actors of yesteryear. And knowing Palmiotti is involved, I'm guessing it's not a movie of the week type story about the inner working of the acting industry. I expect things to be a little more nefarious, and since this is Palmiotti's first series with BOOM!, I'm sure he'll be pulling out all the stops.
I kind of like the slow reveal approach BOOM! is taking with this one, as they are really showing respect for what a big deal it is that Palmiotti is launching a new series.
The new series is co-created by Matt Brady, who is a former comic book journalist, and has written Buck Rogers, Warlord of Mars and has done some work for DC as well.
