As I enjoy everything happening during REBIRTH, I will try to bring you up to speed on the characters who are getting REBIRTHed! Up first, Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz...the Green Lanterns of, according to Jessica, "sector twenty-eight something!"
In the NEW 52 Simon was a young Muslim man who inadvertently gets pulled over in a car full of explosives. He is arrested and then... well I stopped reading. Jessica cruz I know nothing about.
But now, the two are Green Lanterns, rookies who need to work through their personal problems and issues. As the two of them are forced to team up they are given a life lesson by Hal Jordan. Hal takes their power batteries, merges them together and now they are FORCED to be linked together.
GREEN LANTERN REBIRTH # 1 was written by Geoff Johns and Sam Humphries and drawn by Ethan Van Sciver and Ed Benes was an amazing book that gets us ready for the future of the Green lantern Corps.
