When Paul Tobin and Juan Ferreyra's COLDER debuted in 2012, it blew me away. Between Ferreyra's amazingly disturbing art and Tobin's tale of mental illness and its link to the unseen, COLDER quickly became on of my favorite series of all time. But it was over too soon--a mere five issues was not enough time to spend in the twisted world that Tobin and Ferreyra had created.
So I was jumping for horrific joy this week when it was announced that the world og COLDER is coming back this October, with THE BAD SEED, a whole new tale with a whole new evil for Declan to face off with. Here's the pitch:
Life goes on for Declan Thomas after his deadly encounter with the psychotic Nimble Jack, but Declan’s strange powers continue to develop, offering him a profound connection with the nature of insanity. Little does he know that the malevolent Swivel wishes to pick up where Nimble Jack left off!
Bloody Disgusting has an interview with Paul Tobin about the new series, and I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about it in the next couple of months. I for one cannot wait for October to get here.
