Despite one more
day for Rock and
Shock 2014, Brian and
I would love to
extend our thanks
for an incredible
time this weekend
in Worcester, MA! This was our first time attending Rock and Shock and we just gotta tell you... what an exhausting and AMAZING time we had!
The first thing that I will take away from this weekend is how cool, well behaved and fun loving metal heads and horror fans are. Both genres have a reputations for being violent and disrespectful... but this weekend seemed to just be filled with people wanting to have fun, celebrate their love and share the passions with others.
All day Friday and Saturday (and today as well) The Worcester Palladium (just a few blocks from the main hall) would have bands playing 30 minute sets with a five minute tear down and set up! Our friend George O'Connor's band Swarm of Eyes played an incredible set full of passion and energy that Brian and I got to enjoy just right of the mosh pit.
Incredible celebrity guests, movie premiers and panels kept people shuffling around all weekend. And when people wanted to shop there were tons of shirts. comics, toys and DVD's available, most with a horror theme.
We also wanna thank our friends Keith and Amy for hanging out with us at the table and John for... just being John! Love you all!
The bad news... it's all over! The good news? Secret Identity may be playing a bigger role than we did this year... so stay tuned!
