I would like to take this time to say thank you to everyone on staff at TempleCon in Warwick, Rhode Island for an incredible show that not only took me completely out of my comfort zone but introduced me to a real cool new world.
TempleCon is a long running show that combines the cool looking world of Steam Punk and the fanatical world of gaming! And by gaming I mean all kinds of gaming... from Magic: The Gathering, to card games to Warhammer and my favorite... stand up arcade games WITH FREE PLAY!!!! There was also a mix of comic creators, authors and a host of other cool people that just made the time that much better.
No matter where you went there was something to do and things to see. There were panels going on to fill most of the hours in the day that i took part in; one about publisheing, another about the heroes behind the mask and religion in comics.
A show is only as good as your con neighbors and i must say i had some of the best I ever had last week.
Thanks to Hope Nicholson for not only being so cool but for breaking bread and shopping for comics.
Across for me was the gang from Ten Candles; a storytelling game that had crowds gathering all weekend.
Keith Gleason, Amy Kukta, Ruis Ramos and Ron Leary, Jr. Everyday was a new friend to hang with and share new adventures!
Fenham Publishing's Jim Dyer who was to my right and was an amazing guy to talk to and get to know. Jim's grandfather, C,. M. Eddy, Jr was a friend of H.P. Lovecraft and a writer as well.
Live music all weekend would fill the hallways of the show and just make the fun atmosphere that much more enjoyable.
I met some great people and had an amazing time and will now add this show (and force Brian to come along with me) to the con schedule!
Thanks again!!!!
