First published in 2010, The ‘Action Bible’ is a visual interpretation of the Bible, meaning it isn’t the complete Bible, but stories that give the reader a basic understanding of both the Old and New Testament.
Handling the art chores on this mammoth project is Sergio Cariello who is more than qualified for this book. Not only is Sergio a veteran of comic work but is a graduate is both the Joe Kubert School (where he also taught) and the Word Of Life Bible Institute. The art alone took Sergio three years to compete.
“The hardest part of the book was the New testament,” Sergio tells Secret Identity. “With all the crown scenes, making sure I kept the disciples consistent and the challenge of portraying Jesus correctly.”
So if you had to decide who would appreciate the ‘Action Bible’ let Sergio tell you…
“Everyone who likes comics will appreciate the ‘Action Bible’!”
