As 'geeks' we are so spoiled with our TV watching. Think about this... in the 1970's and 80's we were lucky to get a few shows here and there on the air, but never like we have it now. At one time in 1979 we had THE HULK and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and that may have been it, but NOW?
Think about this one!!! In one week we have SUPERGIRL, GOTHAM, THE FLASH, I ZOMBIE, ARROW, STAR WARS REBELS and DOCTOR WHO! Throw into the mix DAREDEVIL, THE SIMPSONS, ASH VS EVIL DEAD, THE WALKING DEAD... even the horrible BIG BANG THEORY all represent geek culture and all the things we love.
This is our golden age!
The amazing thing about all these shows is that (other than BIG BANG) all these shows are incredible and high quality. Sure we have our pal Dan Evans who is the Creative Director for DC Television and of course we think he is an amazing dude... but these shows are capturing the feel of the comics we love and helping bring them to an audience that may not even like comics?
How many people do you know that love THE FLASH but never read the comic?
Do you know someone enjoying I ZOMBIE that doesn't even know it was a comic book?
Enjoy and support them all... and stop bashing the ones you don't like. Sure you may not like SUPERGIRL as much as ARROW but they are all part of the same family...our family.
