Sad news to report today. Just two days after being elected into the WWE Hall of Fame and appearing at WrestleMania XXX, Warrior (born James Hellwig) passed away on April, 8th. He was only 54.
As the Ultimate Warrior, Hellwig took the WWF by storm in the mid 1980's and was planned to be the heir apparent to Hulk Hogan as the face of the WWF, but couldn't quite live up to the expectations and by 1992 he was out of wrestling.
Follow a few returns to wrestling, a wrestling school and a short lived career as a motivational speaker and legally changing his name to Warrior in 1992.
In his time as a professional wrestler he was a two time Intercontinental Champion and won the WWF championship after defeating Hulk Hogan
Warror leaves his wife Dan and two daughters.
