I just finished All Star Western and I was shocked - best book I have read in years.

All the Batman titles are solid, including Dark Knight - I can never get enough of Finch's art. hope he can stay on schedule.

I do disagree on Catwoman, though. Thought it read like a bad adaption of Basic Instinct.

I didn't care for Batwing myself, but I did find Deathstroke entertaining.

I liked Batwing enough to give it another issue. Something that couldn't be said for Green Arrow and Grifter. In fact I bought Batwing expecting to not like it at all but was pleasantly surprised. Just proves my point: When you go into something not expecting much you can get a lot more from it.

I think torchbearer nailed it on the head with his last comment. not expecting much and being surprised and expecting greatness and being disappointed was the theme of the new 52

My list reads as follows:
-Justice League
-Batman
-Batwing
-DC Comics Presents
-Teen Titans
-Hawk & Dove
-Superboy
-Batman The Dark Knight
-Detective Comics
-Voodoo
-Flash
-Catwoman

Honestly, to me, Batwing was the best book of the new 52, after Capullo's Batman! I didn't have a clue about the character but he's just awesome! The suit rocks, the story is action packed from the "get-go", the villain was scary and the Batman cameo rocked!!! Also and most important, did anyone noticed how Batman treated Batwing? As an equal!!! That alone makes me want to know more about this character, because Bats don't even show that type of respect to Green Lantern, that tells me that Batwing is just a bad mutha... SHUT YO MOUTH!!! LOL! It's funny that Brian or Matt didn't like it.

after some distance, I think agree with Dumerill. As a story and character, I think Batwing had the most impact. And I expected zero from this book. A lot of the other books sort of run together for me, but this one stands out and I look forward to more.

I try to make it a rule to not write off a comic after one issue unless it is REALLY bad (same goes for TV shows). So far I haven't found anything that made me not want to at least see where it goes, but there certainly were some that were nowhere near as good as others. Right now my tops are Action Comics, Detective (well, really, all Batman though nothing seems like it needed to be "New 52") and Justice League/JL Dark.
