Good day gentlemen.

Just finished listening to this episode of the show and wanted to throw out some feedback.

First off, thanks for the intro to Helheim. I am a huge D&D fan and Im always looking for this kind of stuff. I recently discovered Valen the Outcast which Im in love with. Its drawn by a fellow you guys know I believe, Matt Scalera.

However it was the review of the new Wonder Woman issue that I was most curious about. I haven't read it yet, so I can't put out my own opinion but I read an article about it that I wanted to share with you guys.

Im a big supporter of women in comics, both as characters and creators and this one was a big let down for me. Opening with a shower scene? Having the most powerful woman on Earth clutching a teddy bear while riding with the Justice League? Not to mention giving the writing task of the biggest female character in all of comics to, no offence to Merideth Finch, a writer who is basically a nobody with almost no experience.

Poorly done DC.

I have a tough time taking super hero stuff seriously these days and moves like this are not making it any easier. It often surprises me how poorly the super hero genre treat female characters while science fiction as a genre has arguably the best female characters around.

I would love to hear what you guys have to say about all this as you are both fans of both genres.

Great show as always fellas, keep up the good work,

Dan

I loved Valen the Outcast!! And yes, Helheim is total D&D, which is awesome. We will definitely talk about your feedback on the show. I think I would have chosen a different creative team for this book as well, but I also think it was kind of a set up for both Finch and his wife to be put on this book. Not only did they have an extremely tough act to follow, but people were expecting them to fail from the outset.
