Brian and I would like to take this time and thank everyone at ComiCONN for such a great show last weekend!
The venue (Mariott Hotel in Trumbull) is a beautiful place but I think the show may have outgrown the space. There was a bit of confusion to where people were located because creators were spread around within a few different rooms as well as an outside area called the Power Patio. This was an incredibly cool place to be, but if you didn't know where it was, you would have missed out some cool stuff and Flash actor John Wesley Shipp (picture above)!
But the positives certainly outweigh the negatives. The guest list was a great mix of big names, industry legends and indy creators. All the creators were accessible and the list was full of talented people who were also great human beings. This is a huge plus for attendees (and interviewers alike).
So lets talk vendors! This was a great mix of toys, dvd's, and comics priced in the high end or as little as 25 cents! Both Brian and I took advantage of the cheap book and bought more than we will ever get thru in this lifetime.
We got some great interviews that we can't wait to share with y'all and had a wonderful time hanging out with friends.
For the past four years, ComiCONN has grown bigger and better. The staff has brought it from a small local show to a can't miss con that is heavy on the FAMILY and heavy on the fun!
