According to DC ‘Men of War’, ‘OMAC’, ‘Blackhawk’, ‘Hawk and Dove’, ‘Mister Terrific’ and Static Shock will be ending with their eighth issues.
“All the books that are getting the axe don’t surprise me,” said Matman! “The sales have been sluggish and the fans never seemed to get into them. Other than ‘Men of War’ I gave up all of them following the first few issues.”
But before you start doing the math (its 46 by the way), DC has also announced the additions of six new books…
‘Batman Incorporated’ written by Grant Morrison
‘Earth 2’ featuring the return of the Justice Society and will be written by James Robinson and drawn by the awesome Nicola Scott!
‘World’s Finest’ by the all star team of Paul Levitz, George Perez and Kevin Maguire
‘Dial H for Hero’ by China Miéville and Brian Bolland on covers
“The Ravegers’ by writer Howard Mackie and illustrated by Ian Churchill
...and the Matman already favorite book ‘G.I. Combat’! The War That Time Forgot, the Unknown Soldier, the Haunted Tank and Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray!
“Let’s hope this ‘Six In and Six Out’ thing doesn’t happen every six months, “Matman warns, “because this could become incredibly negative. The New 52 was a time for new beginnings, and I don’t want this to become just like old times.”
