'Superman' # 13 is the first issue of the new creative team (writer Scott Lobdell and artist Kennith Rocafort) and promises to usher in a new era of Superman!
It didn't!
In fact it just presented us with more of the same thing... a character that no one seems to get a grasp on. Sad, considering Superman is DC's flagship character and probably the most recognizable superhero in the world.
In my opinion, Superman has not been anything to get excited about since writers Joe Kelly and Dave Schultz were at the helm. Before that it was John Byrne's short run that to me captured everything great about Superman.
So here is a few guys i think could bring Superman to the top of the superhero world!
Ed Brubaker - Look what he did with Captain America! He took a character that was floundering and propelled him to the top selling book.
Greg Pak - Like the Hulk, Superman is a tough character to write. After all, they are two of the strongest heroes in comics and Greg was able to humanize him and make him interesting.
Jeff Lemire - He made me love Superboy and a little kid with antlers (Sweet Tooth) and I could only imagine what he could do with the Man Of Steel.
Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray - I know they are my default writing team, but that because they are the best at what they do.
So what do you think? Who do you think could bring the Man Of Steel back to the top?
